Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches -
Casio G-Shock
Mandy and I were walking around the mall here in the Spokane Valley, just
looking around. Naturally, I was stopping at all of the watch cases and looking.
There's a watch band kiosk that sells mostly Fossil, but does have some
G-Shocks. This one hadn't been there before, but it was there today. When I
asked how much - and I knew the answer already, full retail $150 - the salesman
stated that his computer was down and he couldn't look it up. He had to call
someone so we continued walking and said we'd check back.
Upon my return I asked the price and he said $99 - I said, "Sold!"
They were very unorganized and could not find the instruction booklet, so we
wandered off for Mexican at Azteca and when we came back he had it resized, had
found both the box and the manual. He'd also learned the real price. "You got a
heck of a deal on that watch, you know." Really? "Yea, it goes for $150." Wow!
Smiling all the way back to the truck.
As I type this I've owned it for less than 24 hours and I think I'm in love.
Well, lust at least. It's really fun to wear, nice and big and space-age,
really. If you need a good tool watch, I'd go with this one. More functions you
can use in a day, I swear.
