Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches -
Citizen PMT56-2731
This one was on the "lust list" for some time, thanks to my good friend Chris
Moy over at the PMWF. He'd been
posting his for some time and each time I saw it I was thinking, man, that's
gorgeous. Truly a great looking watch. And, a perpetual calendar! (Meaning that
the calendar on the watch adjusts for months with less than 31 days and leap
year - quite a task.)
So, when I had some extra funds available in January (thanks to eBay) I
decided that it was time to end my lust and just go for it. Not disappointed.
The watch is Duratech titanium, which I think is Citizen's own brand (if you
will) of titanium. It's light, damn light. Surprising light, actually. Some of
the other nifty features are the power saving second hand: when in the dark for
a certain amount of time, the second hand resets to 12 and stays that way until
exposed to light. Then it spins out to where it should be. How cool! The time
will do the same thing if left long enough, both the minute and hour hands will
reset to 12.
A great looking watch with some slick features. Great bonus, it looks good on
ANY strap. Really.
