Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches -
Citizen Diver
These older (70's) Citizen divers just look great to my eye. One of the
regulars on the Poor Man's Watch Forum has one (in much better shape than this
one) that I've always liked the look of. So when this one popped up on eBay, I
figured that I would take a chance and see what I got.
The bezel is pretty scraped up, but the case, dial and crystal are in great
shape. When I first received it the watch was off like a shot: it ran 15 minutes
fast the first hour. I tried self regulation with no success, so I enlisted the
help of PMWFourmer Keaton
Myrick who was able to find the problem and a replacement part and get the
watch back under control. The next problem is the crown as it does not screw
down. I have a replacement, but have yet to try to get it in.
