Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches -
FAKE Panerai GMT
There is something about the Panerai that just captures your attention, or at
least it did mine. The larger size (44mm), the large hour numbers, the crown
clasp, all add to a very unique watch. Too bad they are way out of my budget at
around $3,000 and up. So, although not the real thing - or even close, really -
I bought this replica to see if in some small way I could capture part of that
mystique.
One complaint folks have about Paneria replica watches is that they are so
far off from the real thing. Me? I really don't care - any way you slice it this
is a nice looking watch. I really like the second time zone feature and the size
of the watch is fantastic. Plus it's the first I've owned with a deployment
band. I like it and want more.
The last of my f@kes, now. I've gotten rid of the rest of them and have
really stopped even bothering looking at them - this one, I can't let go of,
however. I really like this watch! Really wish it had another name on it - a
homage watch rather than a rip off.
