Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches - Hamilton Khaki Chronograph

Another one here that I wanted when I first saw it, but again delayed purchasing one. When I finally had the funds again, I this time decided to not delay any longer and pick one up. What a chore that turned out to be.

The watch was advertised on eBay as having a white dial, which I thought was a mistake on the seller's part as there was only a silver dialed watch on Hamilton's website. I went for it using Buy It Now and popped of the payment and and email to the seller asking when he expected to ship. Over the next three days I sent another email, both went unanswered, and ended up having to call the seller. Upon doing so, I found that the white dial is a Eurpean only watch and he had it on order from Hamilton's overseas operations and expected to have it in a week. So, I gave him his week...and heard nothing. So I called again and he re-explained his situation, which I already knew, and that he still did not have the watch. He did, however, have the silver in stock and asked if I would be interested in that model instead. Yes, I said, I would be. So, he shipped off that watch the next day. I relaxed, it was almost over. Except...

When the watch finally arrived it was beautiful, with the exception being that it was the wrong size. I had ordered and requested the 42mm version and he sent the 38mm. So, I had to send this one back and wait again. 10 days later or so, I had the correct watch, and was very, very pleased. And it only to about a month.

Now that I have the watch, I love it. The silver dial is a nice off white color, creamy in a way. The Valjoux 7750 movement works well, as one would expect.
