Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches - Puma Chronograph, Big Blue

When I bought this watch (8-Mar-03) I had no intention of buying at watch. Not that day. I was in Macy's for another purpose entirely. Wedding gift shopping for my brother and his bride to be. As it turned out we entered the store right at the watch counter. So I had to look. And, much to my immediate pleasure was this watch.

Sitting in a row of Puma watches marked at 25% off this was the only chronograph in this style. They had some black faced non-chrono watches in the same big style, but I'm a chrono lover and really liked this one. Since the didn't have it in black I decided to try on the blue one. I did not expect that I would buy it. Why? Hey, it's a name brand. Puma. You know, sporting and all that stuff. So I was thinking it was a $150+ watch. When the sales person removed it from the rack she said the price and that it was 25% off that. Wha-? How much? "$39.99 with 25% off." I didn't even have to try it on, I was sold. So for $30 I got this nice and big 48mm (without the crown) watch. My first blue faced watch to my collection.

Oh, and we left the store only with this, no wedding gift. Sorry, Lu!

No wrist time, sold.
