Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches - Seiko Alpinist 4S15-6000

Oh my how a watch grows on you. When I first saw this piece several months ago I did not care for it at all. The hour hand was yuck and it was way too small. Well, since I have recently discovered that I prefer watches under 42mm (with exceptions, of course) and that the hour hand on this one was actually kind of cool, that was all she wrote. I began selling off some of the watches that I did not wear or knew I was not going to get around to fixing to fund this piece. I had to do a bit of leg work to find one, and when I did I ended up a bit unhappy with the transaction. The seller originally charged me $475 - fine, since I was expecting a DNM (Damn Near Mint) watch with the box and papers. What I got was a far from Near Mint watch and no box or papers. The bracelet was quite scratched from wear and the bezel had some light scratches as well. Quite a bit more than I expected since the seller stated he wore it only twice. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, the seller did refund me $50 bringing the price closer to where I felt it should be.
