Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches - Seiko SKX007KS MKII Modified

This one is an interesting one. For me anyway. The reason being is the first time I saw Bill Yao's site sometime in earlyish 2003 I thought, "Why would anyone want one of those? Not for me." I didn't like them. I didn't "get" why one would want to do this. So, I didn't think much about it after that.

But, later, they kept coming up. They were on Time Zone. the Seiko Citizen Watch Forum and the PMWF. And, I began to see that they were designed after (older) military watches. The more I looked at Bill's stuff and the older ones they were modeled after, the more I liked them. The Omega Seamaster 300's are awesome, so that's why when I decided that custom work was pretty cool (amazing how ones mind can change over time) and I liked the dial style, so I went for it.

And then I waited. Hey, it's one guy doing this (as far as I know) and his work is pretty damn popular. It took a bit longer than the 5 week ETA I was originally given, but it was worth the wait.
