Where the hell am I? :: stuff - watches - Sekonda Day Date

So far this summer I've been in a bit of a vintage state of mind. This watch is from the 1970's and was made by the Russian manufacture Sekonda. It's a great looking watch that I was excited to get (which watch am I not excited to get though?). BUT, and I hate using that word, there is a small problem: the watch keeps great time when it is just lying on my dresser, but when I wear it (on either wrist) it slows down terribly. Like loosing 10 minutes an hour. That's SLOW! So, I'll have to have this one serviced before I can wear it regularly. Damn! I hate that - I really like how it looks on my wrist and wanted to wear it. But, alas, it will have to wait.
